Northminster has joined together with Crown Hill United Methodist over the last ten years to provide shelter and nourishment to those in need. The Glasscock Shelter was born out of the vision and compassion of Kay Glasscock and pastor emeritus, Dennis Hughes. Formerly called the BEHM (Ballard Ecumenical Homeless Mission), we now go by the name of The Glasscock Shelter to honor the vision of Kay Glasscock. Partnering with Community Psychiatric Services in Belltown, the Glasscock Shelter works with our community to provide housing three days a week.
The shelter is sustained entirely by volunteers and has been over the course of its life. We welcome new friends who have a desire to walk alongside those who are homeless. You can read more about the ecumenical shelter here. Please let us know if you are interested in joining us on this journey.
SHELTER IS OPEN! Contact the office for details and information.
